"Cigars are like an investment for you. They need your careful storage and care to ensure that they are in their best condition every time you enjoy them. If you have been troubled how to effectively store cigars in a cigar box, please refer to us Some tips and answers to common questions."
Can different types of cigars be mixed together?
Watch winder suppliers believe that there is no problem in mixing different types of cigars in a cigar box. Some cigar fans like to separate stronger cigars from milder ones, which is a purely personal preference. A cigar is like a sponge, it absorbs the surrounding flavor and aroma. When putting different types of cigars in the same cigar box, especially when stored for a long time (this time may take several years or even more than ten years, and it is in an adapted environment), crosstalk will indeed occur. If your cigar box has a tray or internal partitions, you can separate cigars of different brands, or you can classify them according to the type or country of origin of the jacket.
Do not store seasoned cigars in Cigar Box
Unless you only smoke seasoned cigars, never put seasoned cigars in a cigar box. It is best to separate flavored cigars from natural cigars without additives. Because the tar content of flavored cigars is different from natural tobacco ingredients, the flavor is too rich, even if only put one in the cigar box, it will make other cigars taste like flavors in a short time. At the same time, both the cigar box and the humidity regulator inside will absorb this scent, which will affect subsequent cigar storage. It is recommended to store the seasoned cigars in a sealed bag and store them with a separate portable moisturizing bag.
With cellophane or without cellophane?
In general, if you want to store for a long time, it is best to remove the cellophane. Over time, the natural scent of high-grade cigars will become more intense, and removing cellophane will promote tar exchange during the aging process of cigars. The only exception is that if you want to travel or transport with a cigar, it is best to keep cellophane to protect the jacket.
No matter how the cigars are stacked, they should be rotated at least every one to two weeks. It is not good to always put the same cigar closest to the humidity regulator. It is recommended to reposition from time to time to move the cigar from the bottom row to the top.
Leave extra space in the cigar box
No matter what type of cigar box is used, at least 20% to 25% of the space should be reserved to ensure better circulation of air and humidity.
